List of Values

List of Values (LOVs), are used to assist the report consumer when refreshing a prompted report. LOVs display the values for a prompted filter by running a Select Distinct command for the object being filtered.

By default, all dimension and detail objects created in a universe have LOCs attached to them. It's important to disable LOVs if the full list of values can't be displayed within 3 seconds.Slow-loading LOVs will have a negative impact on the user and the overall acceptance of the report will be affected.

Custom list of values can be created if default LOV is slow to load.

Following are the steps for editing a LOV associated with an existing object:

1.Double-click an object in a universe to launch the Edit properties window.

2.Click the Properties tab to view the LOV properties.
